Family Christmas Fun For You To Try Out

If you are already starting to wonder what you are going to do for Christmas, it’s a good idea to take a look at some of your options early on. Of course, this year things are going to look a little different as a result of covid still very much being around, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to find fun things to do with your family. In fact, there are plenty of things that you can do as a family that either don’t involve leaving the house at all, or are otherwise perfectly covid-friendly. In this post, we are going to take a look at what these might be, so that you can start to plan for your own Christmas in no time. I hope you find them useful!

Play Some VR

One option that has always available to you is to play some games in your own home. This is perfectly safe with the people you live with and an easy way to make sure that everyone is feeling the festive fun, and yet it is something that might be particularly popular this year too. We have invested in UnoThe Game of Life and Cluedo in both board game and app form so far this year. The app for Cluedo is a great game to play remotely too, which the app encourages, as it helps you to keep your valuable detective work secret. You could also think about switching things up a little by playing something a little more exciting or unusual compared to the normal video games you might play – such as VR. By playing something like forza horizon 4 virtual reality you can get in touch with your family again, and in the process you should find that you are going to enjoy Christmas in the home so much more. Why not go all out and invest in the new Oculus!?

Elf On The Shelf

If you have not already started looking into this craze, it is something you might want to consider. This is essentially a children’s game that has taken the world by storm, and it is something that is well worth looking into if you want to try and make Christmas extra special for your kids this year (or annoy a partner with it which is even more fun!). With Elf on the Shelf, you have this toy elf that you are going to make ‘appear’ at different parts of the house throughout advent and up until christmas day. Each morning the kids will discover the elf in a different location, and the amount of fun you can have with this is tremendously huge. It’s definitely worth looking into if you want the home to be a little more fun this year for the kids and yourself. A quick google search will give you plenty of ideas for placements!

Check Out The Lights

If this is something you normally do at Christmas, you will know just how important a part of this time of year can be for your kids. If you don’t normally do this, then it is something that you might want to consider this year above all, especially if you are not able to get out much as a result of covid. Drive or walk around and look at the christmas lights in your neighbourhood, and your kids are sure to get into the festive mood as a response to this. It’s one of the most exciting parts of christmas for many.
