Getting ready for Prime day!

Consider this my post for all things Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime Day this year will fall on June 21 & 22 (yep, two days!) so now is the time to prepare. Prep your wishlists and bide your time my friends.

I’ll be posting my favourite deals and promotions on this very post so bookmark it if you want to see those. 

Don’t forget, to be able to take advantage of these deals you need to be a member of Amazon Prime! It may even be worth it for you to sign up for just a month, snap up that deal and cancel it. Be savvy and remember it’s only a saving if you were going to purchase the item in the first place.

Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing my favourite programs, films, books, clothing, products, etc, available through Amazon right here on this post. I’ve had Amazon Prime for many years now and it’s always saved me money and given me value with the amount of scope it offers. Even with just the free, fast delivery, you make your money back in my opinion!

Oh and TOP TIP, sign up to camelcamelcamel (the site so good they name it thrice) to set up alerts for the items for sale on amazon. It will show you the lowest price each product has ever been available for and you can set your ideal price and it will alert you if the item drops to that price or below! Hands-free money saving!

Plus, don’t forget to set up notifications through the Amazon app to get notified about deals when they go live. You can also ask Alexa to keep you up to date on any deals by saying: “Alexa, Keep me updated on Prime Day.”. I’ve never done this before so I have no idea how it works. I imagine it could get quite annoying depending on how many items you’re watching! I may have to report back on that.

Another little-known benefit of Amazon Prime is free magazines! Once you have your prime membership all you need to do is download the kindle app (or launch wherever you get your kindle content!), tap the discover tab and the prime reading. Not only will you have free access to a bunch of magazine but also free books!

Things I’ve bought on Prime Day!

I don’t intend on buying a lot BUT I do intend on snapping up deals on things I have been wanting for a while (if it’s a worthy deal of course!).

The first thing I have bought is this stove fan. We saw one of these when we were visiting a family member and they had paid £50 for it in a retail shop. This one (the same one!) was cheaper on amazon to start with but is now £18.

You pop it on top of your log burner and it pushes the hot air around your room when the fire is on. So excited to try it out! MEGA SAVING!

Other deals I have my eye on!

Alexa keeps notifying me of deals on my wishlist (ask her about prime day!), it’s so exciting! I won’t be snapping them all up though (maybe…). I don’t want to purchase an endless amount of things but I will be staying in the loop with these deals from my wishlist.

We’ve recently moved to a new home with a garden and the hedges are GROWING! This hedge trimmer has just gone on sale for £33.99 reduced from $59.99!
