Visas in Spain

Spain is part of the EU, so you can access a travel visa, free of charge. If you are a citizen of an American country then you can travel without a visa for up to 90 days. A lot of Asian countries will require you to have a visa though, and these include the Philippines and Thailand. This can be obtained from the consulate. It should be noted that visas take around 4 weeks to process and then there’s another 2 weeks for them to be issued, so make sure that you apply in plenty of time.

Do you Need Travel Insurance?

Yes, you should absolutely have travel insurance. European citizens will have a basic level of medical cover with their EHIC card but this does not replace your travel insurance. A travel insurance policy will cover you for a lot extra, including lost baggage and even flight rearrangements.

Where should you Go in Spain?

It doesn’t matter whether you’d like to go on a luxury holiday in Marbella or whether you want to simply relax in the sun because in Spain, there are so many locations for you to choose from. Take Barcelona for example, it is quite possibly the most famous city in Spain and it is an adventure hotspot too. From the internationally acclaimed football club to the tapas bars and bustling nightlife, it’s safe to say that you will always find something to meet your needs. You also have Madrid, which is the capital of Spain. It sits on the Manzanares River in the middle of the country and it is home to the Spanish monarchy. The city is overflowing with green space and culture, not to mention that it is a fantastic city for adventure too. You can cycle, see the sights and even relax if you want. If you venture a bit further afield then you will be able to take advantage of various outdoor activities including paragliding, climbing and paddleboarding too. Madrid is a city that is not to be missed and this is one of the many reasons why so many people choose to visit this location whenever they find themselves in the country.

Of course, there are so many sights that you can see in Spain and when you go to the country you will soon see that it is bustling with life and that there is always so much to do as well so you’ll never be far from an adventure.
