What is Maskfone?
Maskfone is the world’s first face mask with built in earbuds!
I heard about it at this year’s digital CES and just had to give it a go!
What’s so special about it?
It not only comes with build it earbuds but it also has filters (3 are provided in the box) which you can slot in for extra protection. When you wear it you feel protected.
Note: The filters come folded in separate packs (one per filter) and you need to gently pull them away from themselves to unfold them.
How do the earbuds work?
The Motorola earbuds are on a long wire which threads through the bottom area of the mask. You can easily access them by peeling back the velcro and you can even remove them if you want to for times when you want to wear the mask without the earbuds.
Make sure the volume controls are lined up with those on the outside of the mask when you pop it back in and you’re good to go.
You can connect it to your phone via Bluetooth and use it for music and calls. There’s a microphone on the headset hidden inside the mask.
I found it extremely easy to use and link up to my iPhone. The sound quality is great too.
How does the sizing work?
I was very kindly provided the small/medium size and I found it to be a nice fit. If anything I would say they run slightly large. They are available in small/medium and medium/large.

All in all, I feel extremely safe and comfortable when I wear the Maskfone. I enjoy the added bonus that I can listen to my music and make calls on the go.
