Paperless Post - an easier way to make beautiful invitations (+more!)

Today I'd like to talk to you guys about Paperless Post.

They're a digital service that allows you to make online invitations and flyers. I'm going to demonstrate how to make one in this post so you can see how the service works and how easy it actually is!

Paperless Post have gifted me some credit on their site to show you their service. They have hundreds of free card designs, but there is a nominal cost for premium cards and premium upgrades.

So, lets get started!

I'm going to be jumping in and creating a Halloween party invite in this post BUT let me first just say, there is SO much to choose from on their site. Take a look at the categories!

So much inspiration! I especially love the designer section. Paperless Post has partnered with several world-famous designers and lifestyle brands, including kate spade new york, Oscar de la Renta, Jonathan Adler, and Rifle Paper Co., and has delivered over 85 million cards to date.

Anyway, focus, Halloween!

I'm greeted with 134 designs to choose from an a super useful filter down the left hand side. This is great if you have a set colour scheme, etc.

When you select a design you can then preview the animation (what your recipient will see upon delivery) and then go forth and customise!

Now I can change all the details and backdrop to the card (if I want to) and the coin costs are clearly shown (top right). This is one of their premium cards.

...and to give you more of an idea of the value of those coins please take a look at the following screenshot showing how much certain values of coins cost.

Right, I'm going to go ahead and customise this now and come back to you with the finishes product. Hold tight!

...

Here's my finished product. Everything I could change I have changed. (Font type, size, style, backdrop, colours, etc).

Pretty happy with that! Didn't take long at all and it's so cute! Now I can even customise the envelope. From the colours right down to the stamp and postmark! (I'll show you the whole thing at the end. There are so many options to choose from!)

Then onto the reply card customisation. Again, fully customisable. It's easy to see what's free and what is not too.

You are then given options about the host, location, etc. This is dependant on the type of reply card you have chosen. I chose to have an RSVP type card but there are again a lot of options.

Time to preview and send!

Here's the final product :)

So cool!

My total coins cost in the end was 6 coins per recipient. I used all premium options and changed everything I could. Doing it this way you get a totally unique card, save money on stamps, the recipient can EASILY see the details and RSVP quickly, you get a comprehensive list of attendees AND it's better for the environment! Pretty neat.
